YP Quincy started in 2004 as a Steering Committee organized by the Great River Economic Development Foundation (GREDF). GREDF brought together roughly 20 “young professionals” for lunch to discuss how to engage young professionals and continue to make Quincy an attractive place to live and work.
2006 – GREDF partnered with University of Illinois Extension to create a position to work as the coordinator of YP Quincy. From there, YP Formed as a Not-For-Profit and established a formal Board structure.
